There is a way i've figured out to get more attention with a K5 and DA21 than when using my 70-200: all you need is a gitzo series 3, arca-swiss ballhead, and a pano head on top, plus K5 and Da21. I has taking a pono of a narrow street. Someone stopped and asked why i was measuring the building, and if it was being sold...

The problem with big lens is that they are intimidating. If you're a pro on the job, it's generally accepted. But otherwise you get that "is this going to hurt" look, or the "go away paparazzi" staredown. Fortunately the swans don't mind!
