I think everybody will have a different answer for this. Of all Sigmas I have used (SD9, SD10, SD14, DP1, DP1s and a brief encounter with the SD15) I love the SD9 the most (in fact I have 3 now--one is going up for sale, but I will keep two of them).
For me, if I want to go do the Foveon experience, I want to go full force: I use my SD9. I happen to love the exaggerated color that reminds me of old Kodak film. There are situations where the SD9 won't work well, especially low light conditions.
The SD15 seemed to be too close too regular sensor DSLRs for me. IQ is amazing, but strays from the typical Foveon look for me. I have other, more functional DSLR bodies (e.g. Panasonic L1, Sony A100) that give me beautiful IQ (albeit not Foveon look, though the Panny L1 comes close).
So for me it is the SD9. SD15 is the much better body regarding buffer, screen etc. But I love the funky 3D, magical SD9 output.
