Re: Things to consider

Bajerunner has already done a great job of delineating the differences between the 2 cameras. I own the D7000 and find the controls and feature set such that it makes the camera perfect for my purposes.

However, I would add the following; size, weight and ergonomics of a camera are an important consideration when it comes to using it all the time. I would go to a camera shop and actually try the D-3200, compare it against the D-7000 and see which one feels right for you.

I would also sit down and list the types of photography you're interested in now and the types of photography that you would like to master in the future. Bring the list with you when you go to the camera shop. It will be easier to make a decision once you decide on what it is that is important to YOU!
