If DxO did not materially change the test procedure since the 5D2, it's evident that the 5D3 CFA lets more light through relative to its predecessor, at the cost of color resolution. That plus the gapless microlens array should cover the increase in "QE".

My understanding was the Bill Claff FFT data was based on still frames. I don't think he measured the video.
