D800E striping/banding high-ISO

Surprised to find horizontal streaks all over my D800E frames, especially in the midtones. Shadows of course too, while only subtle or absent in the highlights. Is visible at 100% from ISO 1600 , and quite obvious from 3200 up.
I havent heard about such problems on the D800, so either this is a D800E thing or I have got a faulty camera
Anyone else care to test theirs out ?
