If you want f/1.4 and a small lens, take a look at C-mount lenses for 16mm cine cameras (film). Those lenses are tiny.

A C-mount to Nikon 1 isn't expensive, the 16 mm cine lenses can be anywhere between cheap and expensive (OK, for someone who has a M9 they are cheap - even the Schneider-Kreuznach 50 mm f/0.95 ).
Manual focusing with the EVF of the V1 is OK, even without focus magnification.

I'm currently testing a old (1950 or older, don't know exactly) Schneider-Kreuznach 25 mm f/1.5. It's very interesting to use a lens that has no coatings and was designed for black and white movies.

Like many others I'm waiting for fast Nikon 1 Nikkor primes, but until Nikon releases those lenses I'm happy with my C-mount lenses and the 10-30 mm kit lens.
