Nice pictures, Walter. How it feel to walk around with this lens, is it heavy and is it OS working well for taking the shots handhold? I have a plan to buy one of them and use with my 1D Mark IV and monopod during my trip to the rainforest of the North Peru. The only problem is that this lens is not weather sealed. Usually I have my EF400 F/2.8 IS but this time I need to be mobile and this lens is to heavy.

Hello Ralf,

Concidered that the 500mm IS USM is also heavier then this one, this one can be used easier handhold then the 500mm :-).

The OS is working nicely.

So far as I know this is a weather sealed lens too

I have to admit that it is not as sharp as the 500m IS USM from Canon. I gave up comparing these two.

You must be closer to the subject but it is a great lens anyway, and in the end also heavy

regards Walter
