Sub-300€ IPS screen

Hi,
I'm looking for an external IPS monitor to accompony my soon-to-be-bought laptop, especially for photo-editing. It will be calibrated. I am not sure about the screen's size - I guess that something around 23 or 24 inches will be appropriate. I am very open to your suggestions though. Colour accuracy and viewing angle stability are important. An aspect ratio of 16:10 is better than 16:9. Finally, my laptop will probably feature a DisplayPort, so the screen should have it as well.
Unfortunately my budget is limited, I would much prefer to buy a screen for less than 300 €. If, however, there are no usable screens in this price range, feel free to point this out.
I have heard a lot of (mostly good) things about the Dell U2412M, which sells at 270€. What do you think about it? Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Cheers,
Johann
