IE is famously not color-managed. It displays all images in the sRGB color space regardless of what color space is embedded. The newest IE is supposed to be color managed but I haven't seen anyone confirm this.

I think perhaps you mean Firefox or Safari?

Neither IE (even IE9) nor Chrome are properly colour-managed. Even Firefox and Safari have slight limitations, but they both work OK (on the main monitor; if you have more than one monitor they may not be right except on the main monitor).

Different monitors will also display images differently. The manufacturers set up is too bright and the contrast is off for photos because they are set up for viewing text (browsing) and videos.
