Need help in refilling Refillable carts.

In refilling Inkjetcarts Refillable carts for the R2000 printer Ross said to blow thru the air hole to remove air bubbles. This didn't work for me. Is there a better way to remove air bubbles I can't seem to blow hard enough to get any ink out of the bottom spout or get rid of the air bubbles. Also this bottom spout is covered with a clear membrane. Is that supposed to be removed before inserting the cart into the printer Ross just poked a hole in the membrane before refilling but left the membrane glued on to the spout when he inserted the cart in the printer.
