It doesn't make any sense, the new price of the 50-135mm is $1299 at amazon, that is the same price as sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 OS HSM, which I think a better buy. Or you can buy Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 for $769 and still have the money leftover to buy other lens.
