I've just put my 055CXPRO4 in my suitcase ready for an upcoming trip. As I do a lot of long exposure work, a solid tripod is essential and the 055CXPRO4 fits the bill for the D700, the 190 series are not sturdy enough. One tip, buy some spikes.

I recently upgraded to a D700 and my old tripod isn't sturdy enough for it. I am looking for something that is small, light and does not break the bank. I am looking at the 190CXPRO4. Do any of you use it (or something similar) with a D700? What would be the biggest lens I could use it with? I cannot imagine ever needing anything larger than a 70-200. Any help is appreciated!
