OM-D EM5 IS with legacy lenses help

I tried a Canon 50mm FD on my EM5 and it doesn't seem like the IS is working. Whether in video or shooting or shutter half press. I even try turning IS off and on and it looks all the same.

Is there a function i must turn on like release without lens or something like that? I been going through every setting in the menu and cannot for the life of me figure it out. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

When i put on the kit lens and go to 50mm.. the IS effect is clearly visible like different is night and day.

Maybe the IS doesn't work with legacy lenses using adapters? if so, that is a big bummer..
