I have both (optical DSLR and EVF cams) and both have strong and weak elements.
Things very positive for EVF are:
1: ability to change aspect-ratios (1:1, 2:3, 3:4, 9:16)
2: visual feedback over WB-settings
3: visual feedback on over-exposure (blinking)
4: live histogram
Others have already mentionned the drawbacks which I agree.
