Left AF-S vs Manual Focus - look at the Focus Indicator
Apr 19, 2012

I am really sorry for keeping creating new threads but this D800 is really driving me crazy.

I am really tired of shooting target charts, buildings, etc, the result is always the same: cr@ppy focusing using the outer left focus points!

Also I am tired of trolls keeping posting: There is nothing wrong with my D800, must be the photographer, the technique, or the target! If your camera is fine, good for you! Congrats! Now go back to what your toys! Some of us do have a real issue here! (vented! Done!)

Today I gave up on shooting charts, instead decided to see how Focus Indicator would behave using Fanual Focus vs AF-S.

Now... I'am no expert but, does this indicate a real problem with the Left outer Focus?

Try it by yourself.

What do you think?

My apologies if this is pointless.
