NEX-7 + Metabones + Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS
Apr 18, 2012

I have the NEX-7 and am considering getting the Metabones EF adapter for it. Has anyone extensively used the NEX-7 with the Metabones adapter with the Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS? Metabones states that some EF-S lenses may have vignetting issues and was wondering if the 17-55 may be one of them.

I tried a search in the forums, and seems a handful of others are considering the same combination as me but I don't think anyone has reported back their experience. I know the 17-55 has some vignetting already on APS-C cameras, but hopefully it'll be the same or not much worse on the NEX sensors.

Also any general insight and thoughts from you who have used this combination. How easy/difficult it is to manual focus, image quality, any image stabilization hiccups, etc...

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
