But yes, 2 additional years for US$50 equivalent, camera is about US$525 to buy. The initial warranty is only 6 months, 9 if you register. So its a pretty big difference.

And unlike many other cameras I purchase, I can see still using this one (S100) in 3 years time. The improved video was the last piece of the puzzle.
