Thanks, that is interesting! If Photosmart Plus can lack the photo black cartridge, that's very puzzling ... indeed.

The 7510 does have 5 cartridges: Black, photo black, and three primary print colors. For the price it sells for every day on Amazon, it seems completely worth it. The prints are as good as the profile you specify to the driver (a capability my earlier HP printer didn't have) and the feature set (it's an all-in-one) is amazing to me. Simple but incredibly useful feature is that it's NOT connected to my computer by USB. Instead it logs onto my WEP encrypted WiFi network, so any device in the house can print to it over the network. Works from my daughter's iMac (it supports AirPrint) and my wife's iPad.
