NEX5N, is the 18-55 kit worth getting

I am very satisfied with the sharpness of the kit lens. I did, however, purchase a Tamron 18-200 because I wanted a super zoom. For the price the kit lens is a great little lens and I will continue to use it for taking into a restaurant or other places where I know I won't need 200mm. My suggestion would be to purchase the camera with the kit lens --- its a bargain....and if you find you don't use it later you can always sell it for more than you paid.

Is it Zeiss quality? No. But its no where near Zeiss price.
