I have done this a lot. The results are not good.

The silkypix version that is bundled with the camera is not the latest version. If you want the latest version you will have to buy it. In other words you were sold a camera without software that processes the Raw files to their best advantage.

There are some posters who feel that silkypix (the version you must pay more for) is fine but the majority of people who own this camera expressing opinions about the bundled software do not like it or the results they get.

I am getting better results than I was initially by turning off sharpening, using low noise reduction and 'super neutral' colour and then exporting as a 16bit tiff to open in photoshop for more ( fairly extensive) processing.

The in camera raw conversion tool is very cumbersome, but it gives reasonably good results if you have any use for a jpg file compressed according to your preferences.
