Interesting point. If it is a non-linear encoding, would Dx0 measure any degradation in tonal range?

I don't think that the E-M5 stores it's raw files any differently than any other Olympus camera because UFRaw is able to decode the E-M5 raw files and it doesn't have explicit support for it.
