Quick go at portrait shoot + PP advice (C&C)

Hi all,

Here are a couple of portrait shots that I took quickly before heading out. I'm quite new to the world of photography and would appreciate advice on shooting people, particularly in indoor lighting. In these cases, I tried to use natural light coming in from the balcony as the rest of our place is very poorly lit. Had a first go at PP also to try and brighten up the image as the original was underexposed.
