D90 exposure issue?
Apr 16, 2012

I believe my three year old D90 is having a "random" exposure issue.

There are about 55K shutter actuations and the body has never been dropped, gotten wet, etc.

I use the camera to collect time lapse sequences of my girlfriend's street painting. When I do this the camera is typically in "A".

During the last two street painting events the camera would correctly expose dozens of frames then either dramatically throw in one or two way under exposed or over exposed frames.

This "issue" is a recent development creeping up in the last month or so. It is not repeatable on demand, there is no pattern (i.e., it doesn't happen every 50th frame, for example.) It can happen for one frame or up to three frames.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Ideas?

I thank you ahead of time.
