We'll get the update. But why for goodness sake? The VF-2 already operated with it, what on earth did they do to the VF-3 and the XZ-1 that meant it wouldn’t work out of the box like the VF-2 does?

They're all mad!

Hi Hen3ry,

I guess this is a case of having to follow the XZ-1, and it's firmware updates, from very early on since Oly doesn't seem to make it clear 1.4 enabled the VF-3.

I'm guessing the VF-2 existed prior to the XZ-1 launch, so that would somewhat explain why it works out of the box. For the VF-3, I'm guessing there's something so different (resolution?) that a firmware change had to occur, so all units shipped prior to 1.3 wouldn't work out of the box with the VF-3. At least there's a firmware update at all!

Glad to hear you've got it sorted!
