5D Mark III AF point illumination issue

I like it; I'v e got my AF point over the area that I want in focus, but then I want to pay attention to the whole scene to know when to shoot.

Having to look at a particular point, or at the green circle, takes away from that general attention. The relatively discreet red flash tells me that I;m good to go no matter where in the frame my attention is.
