Glad your 400 will work so easily. Yes, the Novoflex adapters are expensive. Can't imagine how much the Pentax with shutter will be.

Yes, you need that adapter to have the Weaver scope mounts to clamp the RedDot on to. Friend found a unit all built together. The finder is more like a picture window than tube shape. It has the problem that Extendo sight got rid of. It moves around in the hotshoe. The picture window is harder to look thru than the RedDot.

Couldn't get tablet to download B&H. Bought my RedDot at Walmart for less than $40. Model BKRD30. It has good size view optics. It is easy to see thru at the Q lcd viewing distance. Wouldn't want view any smaller. Bigger would be okay but not needed. It is about perfect as is. I don't have extenda sight yet. Just cobbled an adapter together.

Also want to try bif with K7 and DA300 in af with RedDot.
