Thanks for the input both. I know what you are saying makes sense and is most likely (Occam's Razor and all that), but I have observed myself carrying it and just can't see how the touchscreen or button is getting pressed. I carried a GF-3 (also touchscreen) the same way and don't recall accidentally activating it.
I know it seems unlikely but it does seem like it's suffering a form of motion sickness!

Turn off the touch functionality and see if it still happens.
