My D7000 battery door fell off

Just fell off as I was opening the door.

I found the rear finger of the door was broken off.
seems it is still in the round hole made for it.

Anyone have this trouble?

I can put the door in place and it still locks in place.

I will use tape to keep it in place.

Still have warranty, will they say it was 'abused?
