AVCHD or Sony A77 Video Workflow?? FCP/X

I would suggest you download the 30 day free trial of Final Cut X, I have a Sony NEX VG10 which uses the same AVCHD/MTS format. I have recently moved from FCP6 which worked fine for log and transfer of the files, but Final Cut X is far more user friendly. You can import the files natively straight from the camera or card and start using straight away or you can transcode into the Apple Pro Res codec on import. If you have never used Final Cut as an editing solution, google izzy video final cut pro x, its a free tutorial and will give you all the basics.
