Companies don't have much incentive to do much in firmware for a model about to be superseded.

Their incentive to do something about older models is my incentive to buy new ones.

For example, the NX100 has a bug where if you are shooting in JPEG+RAW and hit the delete button in the preview immediately after taking the picture, it will sometimes delete the raw file for the previous photo instead of the raw+jpeg files for the photo you're looking at and told it to delete.

Or another example: The autofocus has some problem where if you have a bright light in the AF area it will consistently misfocus and tell you it has focus when it is is in fact wildly off.

Then there's the barely useful 2X manual focus magnification that isn't adjustable. A bug? Maybe not, but it could be improved in firmware.

Does this stuff make me want to plunk down a bunch of money for the next model along with some new defects that they won't fix? Not so much.
