Older lenses that I own and have used very successfully on commercial photo shoots over the last few weeks since getting my first D800 body:
Nikkor 16/3.5 full frame fisheye (manual focus, late 1970's lens converted in the late 1980's to AI)
Nikon 35/2 AF (not AF-D)
Nikon 85/1.8 AF (not AF-D)
Nikon 80-200/2.8 AF-S
Nikon 60/2.8 Micro AF-D
Nikon 17-35/2.8 AF-S
Nikon 28-70/2.8 AF-S
Neither I nor my clients pixel peep. We all just want good, usable images.
As an aside, anything I can shoot on this camera with my 24-70/2.8 AF-S does get shot with that lens. Absolute killer.
