Wow! I just doubled my xPro1's focus speed!

I have lamented the fact that my xPro1 is much slower to auto focus than my x100. I've been told by several of you the focus speed is at least as fast. So I started thinking about how I have my xPro1 configured. I have the power save on, the histograms off and the LCD off to eliminate aperture chatter. It works. No chatter. It also slowed my auto focus down to a crawl. I turned the power save off and turned the LCD on and Presto! my focus speed is on par with my x100. So, it's either listen to the chatter or wait for it to focus. Sigh. Maybe the software updates will be as helpful for the xPro1 as they were for the x100.
