Bayonet on 14-42 IIR is the same as 45mm

Here are some that some of you may want to consider and pictures to give an idea of what they look like on the lens or lens/on camera to give sense of scale.

This is an informal, 'non-mathmatical test chart' quick review. I know there are many alternatives, some bayonet mount, some plastic, some metal, some "vented Leica look" etc. YMMV, so not dismissing those, just here's one of many choices...

I have just ordered a lens hood to use on my 14-42 IIR kit lens and 45mm f1.8. The bayonet size is the same for both lenses so the LH-40 hood should fit both lenses and reverse as well. It wont provide as much protection as the LH-40B designed for the 45mm because it needs to allow the wider 14mm view of the kit lens, but will still provide some flare relief and protection from rough handling.
