lens for low light people shots?
Apr 11, 2012

I will be buying a canon 600d/t3i with a sigma 18-200 mkII for taking general shots while travelling. Initially I'll use the 18-200 for general all-round photos (may upgrade to something in future), but I would like something specific for low light/indoor photos of people. Something that will give some bokeh would be good.

I am considering buying the canon 50mm F1.8, which seems a great price, and even cheaper second hand. However should I save my pennies and get something better, and avoid spending more money upgrading in future? My current budget for this sort of lens would be ~$500 or under.

Canon EOS 600D (EOS Rebel T3i / EOS Kiss X5)
