Canon 60D with 18-200 IS Lense

Today I noticed a Canon kit, the 60D with a 18-200mm IS lense for $1249 in one of the well-known wholesale-type stores. Is this camera/lkit ense a good combination for the dollar? Or would it be better to buy yhe body and worry about a better lense later?
