Hi davidcgv.
Exactly the same symptoms with mine E-5. First it occured occasionally, then it was more and more frequent. I was also blaming cards and card subunit at first.
In service menu I had error code D 8807. No idea what it means, but it is supposed to be diagnostic HEX code. Service personel use it to find what's the problem with the camera.
I have just got the camera back from service, and it works OK of course. Shutter was replaced. They have not reset shutter count, it remains 6000 and something.
