DSLR zoom and P&S zoom

Hi,

Recently I have bought a bridge camera which I'm very happy with (FZ150) and after this buy I've been wondering the following:
Is it nearly impossible to have the same zoom range on a dslr as on a bridge?

Is 100mm (as an example) zoom on a P&S the same as on a DSLR (do you get the same photo)?

I ask this question since I see a lot of bridge camera's with over 500mm zoom, but I don't see many lenses that can offer this.
