Polarizing Filter

Are polarizing filters usable with the X100 or XP1? With my GF1, I cannot discern the effects of a polarizing filter with the LCD, so I end up having to take a series of shots with the polarizer rotated to different positions. Does the EVF (or even the LCD) on the X100 or XP1 allow you to see the polarizer's effects?
