Nikon 1 shooters are generally going to be more amateurish.

Nikon designed the 1 series to appeal to n00bzzzzzz.

The Fuji X-Pro 1 is designed for film shooters like myself who grew up with fully manual Pentax K1000's and Nikon FM's.

Actually, it's the pro photographers that like the V1. In addition, most V1 users here already have a DSLR and just wanted something more compact, less expensive, and FAST. The X-Pro 1 kit costs $2.2k and is meant to replace a DSLR... except it can't. Who's the real n00b?

Exactly. The V1 is my P&S, it replaces a P&S and it does it much better than the P&S with all the manual, retro, film style control my P&S (Canon G10) had. The XP1 is huge, heavy and expensive; it kind of negates the idea of mirrorless in my book. If he wants to call me a noob because I like the V1 more than the Fuji, well, that's his problem.
