Failing capacitors in SB600? Not!

Why do you say that - is it a particular weakness of these units? I have mended quite a few flashguns, both my own and those of friends and have yet to find the capacitor had failed.

Changing or checking it should not be too difficult - but is hazardous if you do not know what you are doing:

(Mending a 20 year old Osram 44, > 100 volts residual charge)

The most common source of failure I have found is leaked batteries corroding the battery connectors.
