The decline of photography as we knew it?

Excuse me if this is old metanews. I've scrolled down a bit and haven't found the topic.

It seems to me that DPR is moving more and more into coverage of social networking, cameraphone apps, and other toys like that. They're of course entitled to do that. Amazon is of course entitled to direct the coverage of DPR material to whatever sells to the largest mobs. Here comes everybody!

Still, what a shame. It's been a good ride, but where do we go next? Where's the beef now?
