XZ-1 (or will be be XZ-2)

I'm in the market for a new compact, and at least 50% of it's use will be for underwater pics.
I have been looking at Fuji X10 and Canon G1-X, with the XZ-1 being the 3rd contender.
On the plus side it has a bright lens, nice compact form factor, and a good Olympus underwater housing.
On negative side there are 2 key points ... it does not do HD video (amazed they omitted this) and the sensor is small (esp compared to canon G1-X)
The camera has dropped in price, and with the £40 cash back ... is tempting.
My question is pretty simple ... for those that know Olympus how far away are we from seeing a XZ-2 ?
