DXO gives for D800 a dynamic range of 14,3 EV and techradar.com a dynamic range of 13,1(?). If same method (?) why this difference?

Maybe more interesting is the difference between 5D3 and 5D2.

I guess you will have to take their measures with a grain of salt. They probably have different equipment and a bit different methods - not as scientific as you should expect. What is important though is that they do things consistent, and I think they do. The DxO does not measure how good a camera sensor is, it measures how well it scores in the DxO lab test!

Yes, there seem to be some nice improvements over the 5D2, which is already a great sensor.
