Love my A77... but the lens selection is weak

I'm not sure about that, as far as I understand it's only some sigma lenses that cause problems, because they are not recognized correctly. Even still, you only run into problems when you have another lens that the firmware thinks is the same. For example, my old Bigma was recognized by software as the Sony 300 f/2.8 (I wish!). Now that would only be troublesome if I owned both lenses and wanted to do AF adjustment for both.
