I removed the trigger off the camera while it was on and slide it back on and the next shot was over exposed. The second shot was fine with no turning on or off.
I will see on my next outing how it responds and carry the phottix odin as a backup.

Thanks a bunch! I remember checking the Adorama PocketWizard video and they said to power everything from top down. Meaning you should power the Flash, transmitter and then your camera. Not saying this is what happened or not but maybe they act like PWs. Also remember reading a review of the Odins and they clearly said it wasn't as finicky as the PWs concerning power up sequence.
If only they had Odins for Nikon, I'd buy that right away...
