Olympus lens repair Q

I've got an 18-180 that seems to miss focus more often these days, and many of the pics look like they were treated with a diffusion filter. Just wondering if it's worth sending this $500 lens into Oly for cleaning and repair. What's been the experience (price, etc.) with Olympus lens repair?
