The Mac has 12 gig ram and the PC 8 gig. the burner in the mac is a 8 times burner.
The problem is actualy before the burning takes place, it is while the conversion to DVD is taking place that it is slow. Toast 11 is what I am using.
I think it could be the software that is not utilizing the resources fully.
The mac runs on lion with the latest upgrades and it is not older than 4 months. Has less than 20% disc space used.
