Thanks for your help. You are correct. I was able to find the adapter that is powered up. It's an old Apple Product. Best used price was around $139 US. Not worth it for me. Cheaper to get another monitor now days.

BTW, I did quite a bit of research for the adapter before I posted here. When you mentioned the power issue that reminded me of the correct item that I previously discounted as ridiculous. In the end I will sale my older Mac monitor and as mentioned and by a new one. Thanks again to all who replied.
