Look at photozone.de review of both lens, the result are quite similiar and the internal spec of the lens are the same, 18 elements in 14 groups, the filter size is both 67mm, magnification ratio is the same, number of diaphragm blades is both 9 and the dimension is about the same also.
If the lens price continue to be this high then everybody will just buy sigma lens, sigma provides better lens selection for pentax user better than pentax itself, even tough their primes are not as small.
The market will sort itself out. Pentax makes non weather sealed lenses so there are options, it's not like it's DA * or nothing.
Now even the non weather sealed lenses are also expensive.
