The main reason I posted these is because I thought the P510's stabilizer technology did a reasonably good job of dealing with such a long zoom.
It also seems that the image from the P510 is not nearly as processed as the image from the HX100V. The Moon shot from the Sony has a bit of smearing from heavy processing, resulting a slight "watercolor" look, while the Nikon seems to go a bit easier on the processing.
Overall, I am happy with the camera so far. My biggest gripe is that there is no proximity sensor for the viewfinder, so the switching between the LCD screen and the viewfinder requires the press of a button. Some of the menu navigation is less well thought out than on the Sony, as well.
